THRALL DOUBLE-STACK CONTAINER CAR

This accurately scaled car is based on the Budd designed Lo-Pac 2000 unit originally built in 1984 by Thrall Car's Chicago Heights plant.  Manufacturer's drawings were used to design these kits for precise fidelity to the prototype.

KITS

Each kit includes undecorated precision injection molded styrene car bodies, detail accessories, trucks and custom weights (couplers not included accepts Kadee #5's). Additional detail parts are also included to model the generator equipped APL cars which provided electrical power for refrigerated containers. The detailed assembly instruction manual includes prototype information, assembly instructions and tips for additional detailing. Decorating instructions are included with the decal sets.

These decal sets are made exclusively for A-LINE by Microscale. Each decal set will do one five unit car.

THRALL CAR EXTRA DETAIL KIT

The Thrall Car Extra Detail kit includes formed wire grab irons, stirrup steps, handbrake chains, air reservoir/valve piping, handbrake chain guides, well support strips, well stiffener strips, lift ring gussets, end load guides and additional electrical version details. Includes enough parts for one five unit car.
